Off The Cuff
found shirt, print, metal, ceramics, thread
The act of wearing clothes leads to an infinite number of forms: shirtsleeves are rolled up; warm knitted sleeves are pulled down to cover fingers on a cold day; ties are loosened; cuffs unbuttoned and pushed up; scarves are twisted and knotted; hemlines are hitched.
When an object of jewellery is placed on clothing that is worn, there is a possibility of all sorts of accidental collisions. Something worn on the wrist has the potential to momentarily connect with a neckpiece as the body goes through the unrehearsed choreography of everyday movement.
