This three-day practical course aims to show you how to take a fresh approach to working in watercolours, with particular emphasis on how they can be used in an expressive, experimental and painterly way.
Working from a variety of subject matters, I will guide you through expressive drawing exercises, in a variety of both wet and dry media. You will then be shown how to find ways of re-imagining your drawn marks in watercolour, using a variety of tools - brushes, cloths, hands and sponges, and will be encouraged to work in a variety of scales, producing a series of paintings by the end of the course.
