COVID-19 RESPONSE
In accordance with government guidelines, I have put in place a number of changes to ensure a safe, healthy and welcoming studio for everyone.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
To ensure social distancing I have changed the layout of the studio and reduced the number of places available on each workshop. The new studio layout now ensures that every artist has their own individual workstation, spaced at least 2m apart, with their own table, wall space and/or easel if required. Everyone must wear facecoverings while moving around the studio or in any indoor communal space. Facecoverings are optional at workstations. The size and layout of the studio is such that there is plenty of space to pass with more than 1m separation.
CLEANING and HYGIENE
Cleaning routines at the studio have been enhanced. All surfaces that people will come into contact with will be disinfected before and after each course. Frequently touched surfaces (WC, door handles etc) will be disinfected at least daily. Every workstation will have hand sanitiser provided. We ask that every attendee cleans and sanitises their hands on a regular basis.
VENTILATION
Whenever possible, windows will be left open during courses to ensure good ventilation. The studio may be a little breezy - please come dressed accordingly.
RULE OF SIX?
I will initially be keeping student numbers to no more than 6. The ‘rule of six’ that has been applied at various points of the pandemic is intended for people gathering socially in groups, and the legislation allows for educational and leisure venues to accommodate groups larger than six as long as social distancing rules are adhered to and all relevant measures are in place to make sure the venue is ‘Covid-secure’. However, to be on the safe side, I will initially be keeping student numbers to no more than 6, until such a time as social distancing requirements are lifted.
If you have any queries, or would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in contact x
